Spam fries are delicious sticks of joy dipped in batter and fried to golden perfection. Just grab your favorite sauce and enjoy!
Ingredients
Canola oil, to fry with
1 cup flour
1 cup panko, plus more as needed
2 eggs, beaten
1 can spam
Instructions
In a medium-large skillet, add 1-2 cups of canola oil over medium-high heat (~350 F).
Cut your spam block into thin slices, and then cut the individual pieces into fry sized pieces.
You'll need one bowl of flour, one bowl with beaten eggs, and one bowl with panko. Coat the spam in the flour, dip it in the egg and coat it with the panko.
Fry each piece in hot oil until golden brown on both sides. Remove, let cool and drain on a paper towel.
Serve with hot garlic sriracha aioli, top with Lao Gan Mama’s chili crisp / oil and enjoy!
Alternatively, you can skip the breading and just make the plain spam fries.
