A simple recipe, for a simple dish that is best served in addition to your main course.
Ingredients
4 eggs, room temperature
2 tsp salt
1 tbs white vinegar
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup honey
4-5 garlic cloves, chopped
1/2 bunch of green onions, chopped
1 green/red pepper/chili, sliced or chopped (optional)
Instructions
Bring enough water to cover eggs in a pot. Add salt and vinegar and bring it to boil. Add in the eggs and cook for 6 min, and immediately place into an ice bath for at least 6-10 min.
While you are waiting, combine all the other ingredients in a large bowl or large mason jar.
Peel the completely cooled eggs, and place into the container of sauce. Let it marinate for at least 6 hours, but we recommend overnight.
Enjoy with noodles, or rice, and garnish with extra sauce bits if preferred.
