These wings make an appearance in my kitchen every once in a while. They are perfect for any night in, or any game day appetizer! They are sweet, spicy and just the right amount of crisp.
Ingredients
3 lb chicken wings
1/2 tsp sesame oil
2 tbs lemon juice
2 tbs Shaoxing wine
2 tbs soy sauce
2 tbs honey
1 ½ tbs hoisin sauce
1 ½ tbs oyster sauce
¼ cup ketchup
1 tbs chilli garlic sauce
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbs ginger, finely grated
½ tsp five spice powder
Green onions, to garnish (optional)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 F.
Mix the marinade ingredients (everything but the wings and green onions).
Toss the wings in the marinade in a large bowl. Marinate for 60 minutes.
Line the baking sheet with aluminum foil. Spread wings on the tray. Make sure you have leftover marinade to brush with throughout.
Bake for 45 min, making sure to brush more sauce on every 15 minutes (flip at 30 minutes). The meat should be golden brown / red all over, with charring at the edges when done.
Remove from the oven, and garnish, and serve!
