Homemade Spiked Lemonade 2 Ways

Serves: 4-5

Prep Time: 40 minutes

Who doesn’t love lemonade on a hot day? We wanted to share our take on lavender lemonade as well as strawberry lemonade. You can either make it in a huge pitcher, or individual drinks. They are super customizable, and you can tweak the drinks to your liking, making them virgin drinks or cocktails.

Ingredients

Lavender Lemonade (in a pitcher)

  • Fresh picked & washed lavender flowers (about a handful)

  • ½ cup sugar

  • ¾ cups lemon juice (fresh squeezed is best)

  • 1 cup of boiling water

  • 4 shots of vodka

  • 1 ½ shots of whiskey

  • Ice

Strawberry Lemonade (individual)

  • 1 bag of frozen or fresh strawberries (pulsed into a puree)

  • ½ cup sugar

  • ¾ cups lemon juice (fresh squeezed is best)

  • 1 cup of boiling water

  • 1 ½ shots of vodka per drink

  • Ice

Process

Lavender Lemonade

  1. Place the lavender flowers into a medium bowl. Add the sugar and massage it into the flowers.

  2. Pour 1 cup of boiling water over the lavender and sugar mixture and stir until you cannot see the sugar at the bottom. Let sit for a minimum of 30 minutes and up to overnight. Strain the mixture, or use a slotted spoon to remove the flowers and pour into a large pitcher.

  3. Stir in the lemon juice and feel free to adjust with more lemon juice or water to your liking. Add slices of lemons and ice.

  4. Add the vodka and whiskey (we used whiskey since we ran out of vodka). If you have more you may substitute vodka for the whiskey.

  5. Feel free to garnish with a sprig of lavender or basil if you have any handy. Enjoy!

Strawberry Lemonade

  1. Add 1 bag of frozen strawberry into a food processor, and pulse. Then add the sugar and pulse again.

  2. In a mixing bowl add 1 tbs of the puree and 1 cup of boiled water. Stir a few times and let sit aside for about 15 minutes.

  3. In individual cups add 1-2 tbs of the puree, 3-4 tbs of the simple syrup, and ¼ cup of lemon juice.

  4. Add the vodka to each individual drink. Add a handful of ice and take time to adjust any other items to taste.

  5. Garnish with lemon slices, strawberries and basil if you have any laying around. Enjoy!
