Steamed Chinese Fish

Serves: 1-2

Prep Time: 5 min

Cook Time: 5-10 min

The simplest and quickest fish dish you might ever encounter. Filled with tons of flavor, you can't go wrong! Feel free to garnish with cilantro, or eat it with a bowl of rice.

Ingredients

  • 1 inch piece of ginger, peeled & thinly sliced

  • 2 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced

  • 2 pieces of green onion, thinly sliced vertically

  • 1 tbsp of oil

  • 1 tbsp of vermouth

  • 1 tbsp of soy sauce

  • .75 lb salmon fillet, de-boned, skin on

Process

  1. Place the fish into a deep dish.

  2. Drizzle oil, vermouth and soy sauce all over the fish. Spoon the sauce mixture over the whole fish to coat evenly.

  3. Add the ginger and garlic slices over the fish. Add another plate on top for a steaming effect. Microwave fish for 2 min to start.

  4. Then once again, spoon broth over the fish and add sliced green onion on top of the fish. Check to see how cooked the fish is by using a spoon or fork.

  5. Microwave for additional 1-2 min depending on how thick the fish is, and make sure to microwave in 30 second increments.

  6. Enjoy and serve with rice!
