Homemade Jam

A simple fruit medley jam recipe that is perfected in just under an hour.

Yields: 5 cups Prep Time: 20 min

Cook Time: 20 min Total Time: 40 min Ingredients 3 pounds frozen or fresh fruit 3 1/3 cups sugar 2 tbsp lemon juice Salt

Directions

  1. Stir together fruit (we used a fruit medley), sugar, and 1/4 tsp salt in a large heavy-bottomed pot. Bring the mixture to a boil, and stir until sugar is dissolved. Mash the fruit with a potato masher, or if you don't have one, a large mason jar. Add lemon juice and continue to boil while stirring frequently. About 12 minutes.

  2. Ladle the jam into large mason jars or containers until it's 3/4 of the way full. Let cool completely without the lids on. Once cooled make sure to cover, and refrigerate. The jam is good for 1 month in the fridge, or up to a year in the freezer.

  3. Enjoy!
