Deep fried pork or tonkatsu, is a quick, few ingredient, and crave fulfilling Japanese staple. It is best served hot, on rice, and with cabbage!

Ingredients
Oil for frying
2-3 boneless pork cutlets
¼ cup cornstarch
1 large egg beaten
1 cup Japanese panko
Shredded napa cabbage
Salt & pepper
Tonkatsu sauce (homemade or store bought)
Tonkatsu Sauce
1 tbs ketchup
2 ½ tsp worcestershire sauce
1 ⅛ tsp sugar
1 ½ tsp oyster sauce
Process
Heat a medium pot of oil to 350 F.
Rinse the cutlets with cold water, pat dry with paper towels, and season with salt & pepper.
Assemble the cornstarch, egg and panko in three deep plates for the frying process.
Coat one cutlet in cornstarch, then dip into the beaten eggs, and cover in panko. Repeat this process until all cutlets are ready to fry.
Deep fry the pork until golden brown, and set aside on paper towels to collect extra oil.
Prepare the tonkatsu sauce in a bowl, stir and set aside. We tripled this!
Serve with rice and cabbage.
